Event Summary

The Singapore Board Diversity Report is an annual report that tracks the trends in female representation in boards of SGX-listed companies. The second issue was released on 12 Oct 2012, in partnership with BoardAgender and with the support of UBS and SGX. The key speakers for the event were Mdm Halimah Yacob, Minister of State, MCYS, Mr John Lim, Chairman, Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and Dr Marleen Dieleman,Associate Director, Centre for Governance, Institutions & Organizations(CGIO). Dr Dieleman presented the findings of the research, which showed an increase in the female representation on boardrooms of SGX-listed companies – from 6.9% in 2010 to 7.3% in 2011. The audience included several industry experts, academics and key personnel from various listed companies. The event and the report were featured in several media articles.
