The NUS ACSEP and the SE Association, invite you to join us for a 2 part workshop on how to effectively launch your social enterprise in Singapore. Level 1 covers "Designing and Planning your Social Enterprise" and Level 2 will go into "Implementing and Managing your Social Enterprise". Participants who complete both levels will receive a certificate of completion from NUS ACSEP and SE Association.
Level 1 of this workshop includes:
- What is the current landscape of the social enterprise sector in Singapore? How does your social enterprise fit in?
- Clarify your assumptions on personal goals and social impact using a Theory of Change analysis
- Dissect your social enterprise using the SE Patterns Canvas - identify gaps in your business model and social impact strategy
- Review of case studies on local social enterprises
Work towards an action plan for Level 2 of the workshop - Implementing & Managing your Social Enterprise
This practical and interactive workshop introduces participants with a rigorous SE planning process and know-how in designing successful social enterprises.
Those who have successfully completed the professional course will be given opportunities to work with SE Association to develop their social enterprise plans.

Kevin is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the NUS Business School's Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy where he leads a research initiative on social enterprise patterns.
He is also the Chief Operating Officer at Asian Venture Philanthropy Network. Prior to that, he was a Co-Founder of Volans, a Social Innovation company with offices in London and Singapore. Kevin was previously Head of East and Southeast Asia at the Schwab Foundation of Social Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum. Prior to that, Kevin had a nine year stint in the enterprise software arena in Silicon Valley, Irvine and Austin. This included work at two Sequoia Capital startups that were acquired by Sun Microsystems and Symantec respectively.
Kevin is a Trustee of the Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network (SEALNet), a non-profit he co-founded in 2004. Kevin sits on the evaluation panel of the Ministry of Social and Family Development's ComCare Social Enterprise fund.
Kevin graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with an MS in Information Networking, and holds a BEng with Honors in Computing from Imperial College, London.
