The NUS MBA Study Trips are conducted three times a year with the objective of providing international exposure by allowing students to learn the best corporate, entrepreneurial and governmental practices in other countries. These trips offer a wealth of knowledge as students get immediate access to top executives and senior government officials, engaging in insightful dialogues. Recent study trips include that to China (2008), Philippines (2009), France (2011), Vietnam (2011), Korea (2011), USA (2012) and Japan (2012).
“The Santander Students Mobility Program” is a collaboration between Banco Santander and NUS Business School to co-sponsor up to eighteen MBA students to embark on one of these study trips. In 2012, the opportunity to attend a customized program at UCLA Anderson School of Management provided rare insights into the movie & entertainment industry which Los Angeles, USA is famous for. Subsequently, visits to leading corporations such as Gilead Sciences, Target, CBRE, Port of Long Beach, The TCW Group, Buffalo Studios & Warner Brothers allowed our students to learn more about corporate entrepreneurial & business practices & strategies, and gain market insights into the various industries. Most unforgettable was the reception at Princess Cruises by their President & CEO, Mr Alan Buckelew, and the rousing welcome that the delegation was given at Zodiac Aerospace by hundreds of their employees on every floor of the building.
