BIZ Career Services ran its anchor networking events, Connexions and Relazione, in September for their MBA and BBA students to interact with recruiters.

Consulting professionals and aspiring consultants mingled at this relaxed Friday evening event hosted by NUS Business School Career Services at Mezze Bar.

Over 65 attended this intimate networking event, which brought together NUS MBA students with consultants and recruiters. Firms represented included: BTS, Deloitte, Delta Partners, DHL In-House Consulting, McKinsey and Co., Solution Providers and Wood Mackenzie, among others.

NUS MBA Consulting Club President Sarath Sasikumar (Class of 2013) found Evening with Consultants a great opportunity to interact with consulting professionals one-on-one. “This event gave students the chance to ask specific question and receive personalized answers from experienced professionals. I really appreciated the willingness of the participating consultants to openly share their experiences, and I know my classmates did as well.”

The Grand Ballroom at the Conrad Hotel was the site of flagship NUS MBA Business School Career Services recruiting and networking event, Connexions 2011.

Forty-eight top firms participated in this event, and over 120 corporate representatives and 150 NUS MBA students attended. NUS MBA students had the unique opportunity to meet with firm representatives, hear about company hiring plans firsthand, and share their resumes at this two-hour event exclusively for NUS MBAs. Corporate partners who participated in this event were the first to receive the NUS MBA Class of 2012 Resume Book.

NUS MBA students headed to the Financial District for an evening with finance professionals at Red Dot Brewhouse. This sixty-person event brought together NUS MBA students with finance professionals from a variety of industries and roles for an evening of conversation and networking.

The finance professionals, some of whom are NUS MBA Alumni, represented a wide range of firms, including: Arohi Asset Management, Blackrock, RBS, Helios Capital Management, DBS, The World Bank, Deutsche, Nuevo Asia and Standard Chartered.

Vishal Narain, NUS MBA Class of 2012, deemed the evening a great success. “It was a fusion of the two things that you want as someone aspiring to a career in finance: experienced alums talking to you about the career, and recruiters who can help you build the career.”

On the afternoon of 20th September 2011, our corporate partners along with the NUS Business School class of 2012 made for a bustling time of engagement over graduate opportunities at the Sheraton Towers Singapore.

With 160 undergraduates and 73 delegates representing 44 companies from across industries at the event – Relazione 2011 was a resounding success.
