The Singapore Corporate Governance Awards 2011
The Singapore Corporate Governance Awards recognize companies that 'best meet the letter and spirit of the Singapore Code of Corporate Governance' from investors' point of view. The awards are part of the Investors' Choice Awards, organized by the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS).
The companies shortlisted for consideration of the awards are provided by the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organizations (CGIO). Singapore-listed companies are first scored on corporate governance practices based on their published annual reports and related materials. Shortlisted companies are then presented to the Advisory Committee for deliberation of the respective awards.
The winners of the Singapore Corporate Governance Awards 2011 were announced at SIAS’ 12th Investors' Choice Awards held on 27 October 2011 at Fairmont Ballroom, Raffles City Convention Centre. The event was graced by the presence of the guest-of-honour, Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister of State for Finance and Transport.
